Norvic bags yet another Global Recognition of Excellence In Health Care

Kathmandu : Norvic International Hospital (NIH) has been recognized in the area of ‘Business Excellence in Health Care’ a global recognition award – THE BIZZ by the World Confederation of Businesses [WORLDCOB], Texas, USA.

The Dy. Prime Minister and the Minister of Health & Population, Mr. Upendra Yadav conferred the award to the Managing Director, Ms. Megha Chaudhary amidst an award ceremony in Kathmandu on Friday November 16, 2018. Norvic has also been awarded with the Elite Membership of the global recognition body, the WORLDCOB. The membership was conferred to the Chairman of the hospital, Mr. Basant K. Chaudhary.

THE BIZZ gathers and recognizes leading businesses from different regions globally that contribute to the growth of their economy with ethnical practices. THE BIZZ was created by WORLDCOB to offer global business leaders a range of benefits that further enhances their image.

Founded in 2004 in Texas, USA the WORLDCOB’s primary mission is to promote business development worldwide, recognizing and boosting the growth of leading businesses and personalities in every country through the special tolls and services that it offers its members. The WORLDCOB has over 3000 members representing over 120 countries-across the globe. The award is intended to promote ethical /good business practices to set up an example to be followed by others both nationally and internationally.

Some of Norvic’s Directors and Managers were also recognized for their contribution. The receipients of outstanding recognition were Ms. Megha Chaudhary (for excellence in leadership); Mr. Rajendra B. Singh, (for excellence in business management) among others.

As per the communication issued by the WORLDCOB, Norvic has been selected for THE BIZZ for consistently exceeding the evaluation criteria set in their Businesses Excellence Questionnaire such as Business Leadership, Quality of Services, Effective & Quality Management System, Innovation and Creativity, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSRs), Rich Milestones, practices of good medical ethics, patient safety and infection control mechanism and the excellent results achieved in the field of preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic and curative medical care in Nepal.

The WORLDCOB also congratulated Norvic and its management for achieving this Global Recognition ‘Business Excellence in Health Care’.

With over 25 years of rich history and a member of Global Green & Health Hospitals (GGHH) group, USA, Norvic was the first hospital in Nepal to have ISO certification for quality management system. Norvic has also received various other prestigious awards, such as: the Best Regional Hospital Award by the Europe Business Assembly, UK, the Manager of the Year Award by Socrates Nomination Committee, Oxford, UK and Nepal’s Best Employer Brand Award, awarded during the 12th Employer Branding Awards Ceremony-2017 in Nepal.

The award ceremony started with a welcome note from MD Ms. Megha Chaudhary Shakya. Norvic would work optimum hard to further modernize its services; it would receive more international awards in the days to come as it is the only beginning; said Megha Chaudhary while delivering her welcome note.

Mr. Caffaro opined that the WORLDCOB recognizes companies/personalities who are world leader in their fields. The recognition given to Norvic today will make it more professional, it will add further excellence in medical services for both domestic and international patients, said he.

Norvic’s International Medical Advisor- Dr. Erik Fleischman highlighted on the various plans to take further Norvic to new heights by modernizing its services and standards. In next two years, Norvic would add further super specializations, high technologies, high quality of services and qualitative face lifts in infrastructural development.

It will also venture into anti-ageing medicine and stem cell therapy 1st ever in Nepal, said Norvic’s International Medical Advisor, Dr. Erik Fleischman.

Stem Cell therapy has been progressed miraculously in the western countries to treat uncommon ailments.

Brand Ambassador and veteran artist, Mr. Hari Bamsha Acharya shed light on Norvic’s contribution in modernizing Nepali Health care. Its rich Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSRs). As Nepal now has every facility, technology and expertise, he urged that the country’s leadership should stop providing financial support to those who preferred their treatment abroad.

The Chief Guest, Dy. PM and the Minister of Health and Population, Mr. Upendra Yadav opined that due to Norvic’s constant efforts in maintaining standard/quality of services, qualified medical expertise, well equipped diagnostic lab and quality management system now almost every treatment is possible in Nepal. As Norvic has taken a lead role, he wishes it may further develop as the world class hospital and no Nepali should visit abroad for his/her treatment Instead foreigners should rely on Norvic for their expert medical care. He also expressed his concern over the capital’s highly grown level of pollution. He reiterated that the private sector and the govt. sector hospitals should work hand in hand, promote health insurance to provide basic health care to the entire Nepalese.

During vote of thanks by Executive Director, Mr. Rajendra Bahadur Singh expressed that receiving such a global recognition is a moment of great pride not only for Norvic family but also for the entire Nepalese medical fraternity.
