Kathmandu : On the auspicious occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan, an impressive flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan today. This year Pakistan Independence Day is being observed in solidarity with the people ofKashmir in their struggle for their right of self determination. Ambassador MazharJaved hoisted the flag. Embassy officials and Pakistani community in Kathmandu attended the ceremony.
Independence Day messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were also read out. President ArifAlvi, in his message said that the Independence day reinvigorated the spirit of patriotism and the desire to serve the country.In his message, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan reassured the people of Kashmir that Pakistan will continue to provide political, diplomatic and moral support to their just struggle for the right of self determination.
