Kathmandu : Dr. Khadgi, a senior consultant urologist specializing in Mini percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (Mini PCNL) was invited at the 37th World Congress of Endourology (WCE) 2019, becoming the first endourologist from Nepal to share his views in the event as an international speaker. The event – organized by the Emirates Urological Society (EUS) – was held from October 29 to November 02 at Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
The congress is the world’s foremost meeting of endourologists dedicated to minimally invasive urologic surgery assembling the global leaders of today. It encompasses endourologic, laparoscopic, robotic and other technologic interventions and medical management for urologic conditions.
Dr Khadgi, one of the leading urologists specializing in Mini PCNL, was invited from Nepal to share the advanced method of Mini PCNL as one of the international Guest speakers for the 1st time in Nepal’s medical history. Over 1,000 practicing urologists, urology residents, fellows, and other health professionals who involved in urology researches and patients care participated in the event.
The world congress of Endourology invites experts from all over the world to share latest and advanced methods of treatment in the field of Endourology.

About Dr. Khadgi
Trained in Endourology and Mini-PCNL at Minimal Invasive Center of Guangzhou, China with Prof. Zeng Guo Hua, a pioneer of Mini-PCNL in the world, Dr. Khadgi has been credited for introducing Mini-PCNL in Nepal in 2005 and laser treatment for prostate in 2010, the first of its kind in the country. He has performed over 3,800 operations for renal stones, while about 200 prostate patients have benefited from the laser facility.
Recently he was awarded with the Best Poster Presentation Award in the First Conference of Experts in Stone Diseases (2012) held in Dubai, UAE, participated by representatives from 55 countries.
Dr.Khadgi is a much sought after expert in his field with numerous live demonstrations of his technique of treatment of kidney stones in various international conferences. In addition, he has also contributed in these conferences and workshops, at home and abroad, as an international faculty, speaker and moderator in Endourology.
