With this, the total number of infection confirmed in people of Nepal reaches seventy five out of which sixteen of them have already recovered from the infection.

As per the evening briefing by Ministry of Health, 15 people from Nepalgunj and a guy from Birgunj tested positive for the infection. In the afternoon, the ministry of health confirmed 10 people tested positive for the virus who are from Nepalgunj.

According to the District Health Office, Banke, the newly infected people from Nepalgunj came in contact with a 60-year-old man who was confirmed infected on Friday. Also, samples have been collected from 105 people who came in contact with the infected person. Sixty samples were tested on Sunday.

A 36-year-old man in Birgunj and 15 people, including eight men and seven women, were found infected in Nepalgunj, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. According to a statement issued by the ministry, they are between the ages of seven and sixty.

Samples collected from some of the infected people from Birgunj, were sent to the National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu for testing the previous Friday.

According to the latest statistics of the ministry, 13,420 tests have been done using PCR method in Nepal so far and 49,688 tests have been completed using RDT kit in quick test method. The spoke-man from the ministry, Dr. Bikas Devkota said that 1,479 people had been tested in the last 24 hours. Till date, there are 21,958 people in quarantine and 77 people under isolation in the country.

Of the 77 people currently in isolation, four are in the Kathmandu Valley, according to the ministry and Province No. 1 now has the highest number of infected people that is thirty one whereas, the number of infections is zero in the Karnali Province.

According to the ministry, the health condition of all the infected people in the country is normal.
